Overview
Sony TC RX1000T is a quick-reverse cassette deck developed at the request of the National Council of Braille Libraries for use by volunteers in creating sound recording books. It supports monaural input and cannot use metal tape. Designed for reliable, long-term recording tasks, it includes automation features to simplify operation for non-technical users.

Design
The TC RX1000T allows switching tape speed between standard 4.8cm/s and half-speed 2.4cm/s. It features auto-calibration that adjusts bias and level settings per tape during recording. A playback speed control function enables continuous adjustment from 0% to +100% (2x speed). Built-in sound autofocus automatically sets the optimal recording level for each tape type via microcomputer control.

Developed exclusively for volunteers and intended for use in producing sound recording books, including distribution through Braille libraries nationwide, based on a request from the National Council of Braille Libraries.
