Design
The TC-FX2 uses a 2-motor mechanism with dedicated capstan and reel motors, driven by a DC servo system for precise tape control. It features soft-touch logic controls, a soft-eject mechanism, and a backlit twin VU meter with a +6 dB peak indicator. The playback circuit employs a direct-coupled amplifier and head with a DC amplifier configuration. An integrated timer standby function and high-output headphone jack are included, along with a 4-position tape selector for Normal, FeCr, CrO2, and Metal tapes.
