Overview
The Sansui SR-2050E is a turntable manufactured by Sansui Electric Co., Ltd., featuring a 301 mm die-cast aluminum alloy platter and belt-drive system powered by a 4-pole synchronous motor. It supports 33 1/3 and 45 rpm playback speeds with a wow and flutter of no more than 0.07%, and includes an auto-up and auto-stop mechanism activated via magnet reed switch and plunger. The tonearm is a static balanced pipe type with 220mm effective length, 15mm overhang, and ±1.5° tracking error, equipped with a direct-reading needle pressure adjustment from 0 to 5g. The included MM cartridge uses a 0.5 mil diamond stylus with a recommended tracking force of 2.0g.

Design
The SR-2050E features an auto-up and auto-stop mechanism using a magnet reed switch and plunger with zero side pressure, a 0.5g step direct-reading needle pressure application system, and a slow-acting oil-damped arm lifter linked to the power switch. It includes a quick-read push-button speed selector, a zinc die-cast accessory base, gold-plated output terminals, a universal cartridge mount, a feather-touch start lever, a power-check pilot lamp, and an anti-howling insulator. An aluminum scratch board is used, and the design incorporates temperature-resistant oil damping.
