Kenwood KR-2300 (1973–1976)
A solid-state AM/FM stereo receiver made in Japan, featuring microphone mixing and dual speaker terminals.
Overview
The Kenwood KR-2300 is a solid-state AM/FM stereo receiver manufactured by TRIO-KENWOOD in Japan. Produced from 1973 to 1976, it was designed as an entry-level unit with practical features for its time. The receiver shares a unified design with the KR 4200 and includes a microphone mixing circuit that allows voice input to be blended with audio from phono, AUX, AM, or FM sources. Pulling up the mixing volume knob switches the output to microphone-only mode, with level controlled solely by the microphone volume. It is equipped with two types of speaker terminals for flexible connectivity.
